" ( S2F2 would like to thank all those persons who helped and worked to make S2F2 2005 - 2008 such a success. ) "
MANDATE:
To provide Filmmakers with the unique opportunity to see their work projected on a full size Cinema Screen in a proper Cinema Theatre.
To select Films regardless of origin, genre or medium that will enhance the experience and appreciation of the Craft of Short Film Making, for Filmmakers and audiences alike, be it through subject matter, story telling, production, visual or auditory techniques, direction or diverse content.
( POSTSCRIPT: Perhaps the greatest compliment to S2F2, as repeated every year by different Filmmakers themselves; " I have learnt so much by coming to this Festival." )
S2F2 would like to thank ALL those who have contributed to the SUCCESSFUL implementation of this year's International 2008 SHORT FILM FESTIVAL, and especially: At the sharp end in THE DRAGONS DEN, ANN MONKS, acting Chairman, TREASURER and Secretary; ably assisted by PETER BROWNE, IT Guru, ADVERTISING wizard and oft time Artistic Director; OTHER various and fecund COMMITTEE activities were also finely PERFORMED by PATTY HEARNE and JON DOLAN, assisted by the Industry Experience of THE APPRENTICE, JENNIFER KATE MONKS. Gaffer, Grip and all time BEST BOY was DAVE WINN. Last but not least: "They say he has CELLULOID in his blood, and if you cut him, it is like WATCHING a re-run of FILM 4! Others say he could be the love child of HITCHCOCK and SPIELBERG, but we just call him THE STIG! Sorry, ADMIN." And a special THANK YOU to all those FILMMAKERS who contributed their PASSION, Blood, Sweat and Tears, namely, THEIR FILMS. Thanks one and all, S2F2.
