SEFTON SHORT FILM FESTIVAL 2008

Thank you for the past three successful years and welcome to S2F2 2008, and to what we are sure will be our biggest and best Festival yet.
We hope to be involved in all manner of activities this year, especially as it is the Liverpool European Capital of Culture Year, and there is so much going on in and around our whole area.

'S2F2 is proud to be a supporter of LIVERPOOL European Capital of Culture 2008'.

Submissions have closed; all the films are in; the jury is out, and the final selection for this years' exciting programmes is now well under way.
Time now, fellow filmmakers, for you to start making plans, booking holidays and arranging leave to attend our Festival in it's brand new venue, the Southport Arts Centre.

Whether you're a filmmaker or a filmgoer, if you've got a passion for cinema, love films and want to see something new, different, inventive, funny, scary or just plain downright bizarre, the S2F2 Sefton Short Film Festival 2008 is the festival for you! Our original mandate remains as ever:
'To bring Short Films to a wider audience, to promote new filmmakers' work and of course, to give them a chance to see their films in the best possible setting, a full size cinema.'

is now in full swing and we in SEFTON are proud and excited to support and be part of this fantastic achievement. At S2F2 we are also excited to have been able to expand our FESTIVAL to THREE DAYS in 08. We are revamping our format and are now presenting SIX separate FILM PROGRAMMES! For this 08 year, S2F2 are moving to a new
venue in the North of SEFTON, to SOUTHPORT, the

holiday destination known as the 'Paris of the North'. We shall be holding the Festival in the Southport Arts Centre ,right in the centre of town. See our Venue Page for details of this great location and start booking your time off now, to attend our (your) S2F2 08 Film Festival.
